In his 28 years of experience that spans from Madison Avenue to Wall Street to Silicon Valley, Jerry has seen all sides of marketing while working with many of the most admired brands in the world. Serving as CEO of Critical Mass for six years, Jerry is now our Chairman. This new role enables Jerry to focus even more on his passion: working directly with client management to build effective marketing strategies and integrated communications solutions.
Whether consulting with clients such as Rolex, counseling the Leadership Team at Critical Mass, or working with partner agencies, Jerry brings his vast experience in advertising, branding, marketing and the internet to the table each and every time. As head of Corporate Marketing for the 3COM Corporation, he helped guide the successful launch of an entirely new category with the Palm PDA. Prior to high tech marketing management, he spent several years in financial services serving as SVP of Marketing and Communications at PaineWebber (now UBS) in New York. Before that, Jerry was Director of Client Services for J. Walter Thompson, managing major global clients such as Motorola, Nortel, McDonnell Douglas, and Kraft. He started his 16 year run on Madison Avenue at Young & Rubicam, working with Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo and General Foods. Prior to receiving his Masters degree in Advertising from Northwestern University, Jerry jump-started his communications career as a radio sportscaster and aerial photographer.
"Our mission is to be the most admired interactive agency. Critical Mass is defined in large part by the company we keep - our impressive clients. When you strive to work for the best, it makes you want to be the best. That’s a big part of who we are and where we’re going."
For Jerry, clients always come first and Critical Mass comes in a close second, unless of course he is stalking trophy striped bass with a fly rod on his beloved Nantucket.
